The truth is there is there is no simple answer as everyone’s requirements are different and there are lots of factors to take into consideration. That said, here’s our handy guide to estimating your ice requirements.

Are you just chilling down bottles of wine, Champagne and beer or are you serving spirits & mixers and cocktails?

Please remember, This is just a guide but, no one likes warm drinks so it’s better to have too much than not enough!

Is the Ice safe for human consumption?

Yes. All of our ice is totally safe to consume but we run our water supply through a UV filter for extra piece of mind.

How big is a 10KG bag?

Approximately 5 times the size of a supermarket bag, roughly the size of a pillow.

How should I store the ice?

If you don’t have adequate freezer space then the best way is to pile it up in the shade. Ice keeps itself very cold and depending on how hot the weather is, it will keep pretty well for up to 8 hours if piled in a cool place. We do have some hire options. Obviously a freezer is best but a fridge or fridge trailer will keep it for a reasonable amount of time.

Do you have a minimum order?

Yes, the minimum order within the Oxford ring road is 4 x 10KG bags up until 6pm, 6 bags thereafter. Delivery is free. Outside of the ring road, the minimum order and delivery charge depends on the distance.

What’s the difference between cubed and crushed ice?

Cubed is generally used for normal drinks – spirits and mixers, soft drinks, long cocktails. Crushed is used for cocktails such as Mojitos and Caiparinhas. It has more surface area so melts quicker. Spheres are for specialist drinks and neat top shelf spirits. They melt even slower than cubes as they are larger.

Where do you deliver to?
